What We Stand For

Our work spans thirteen interconnected objectives, each essential to building a healthier planet and more resilient communities across Kenya and beyond.

Sustainable Natural Resource Management

Empowering local populations as environmental stewards through community-led conservation and resource management committees overseeing forests, water bodies, and wildlife corridors.

Core

Ecosystem Restoration & Protection

Restoring forests, wetlands, grasslands, and water catchment areas using native and climate-resilient species, with soil conservation and riparian zone rehabilitation.

Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation

Supporting climate-smart agriculture, agroforestry systems, and community-based adaptation planning — including early warning systems for droughts, floods, and landslides.

Environmental Policy Advocacy

Advocating at local, county, and national levels to influence environmental legislation, monitor compliance, and ensure community voices are heard in impact assessments.

Responsible Resource Use & Pollution Control

Promoting water conservation, rainwater harvesting, waste recycling, clean energy adoption, and plastic reduction through community education and practical interventions.

Biodiversity Conservation

Protecting native flora and fauna through habitat protection, species recovery programs, community conservancies, wildlife corridors, and anti-poaching surveillance systems.

Ecosystem Health Monitoring

Using remote sensing, GIS mapping, and field surveys to track soil quality, water quality, vegetation cover, and wildlife populations — establishing critical baseline data.

Sustainable Livelihoods & Green Economy

Building green enterprises — beekeeping, butterfly farming, tree nurseries, ecotourism — and providing training in permaculture, organic farming, and market linkage.

Environmental Education & Stewardship

Conducting school programs, community workshops, and field days that foster ecological literacy — establishing environmental clubs and future conservation leaders.
